Look through newspaper archives or public records of your local community. See if you can locate whether minority groups are treated equally to dominant groups in terms of public policy, such as police stops or arrests, housing availability, public school funding, marriage or insurance laws, or some other indicator. Write a letter to your public officials, either praising them for steps toward equality or urging them to specific action.
