14.20 Same-Sex Legislation Do you think the next government should let same-sex legislation stand or should it repeal? In 2005 The Strategic Counsel, on behalf of the Globe and Mail/CTV polling program, conducted a survey by telephone among a national sample of 1000 adult Canadians 18 years of age or older. The survey indicated that majority of respon- dents are not in favour of repealing the legislation. Suppose we randomly select 100 Canadians in each of three subpopulations and record the number who said following the next election the government in power should attempt to repeal the legislation. Do the data indicate a significant difference in the proportion among the subpopulations?
