3. Once you have selected the problem:

a. Describe the problem in detail, specifying what the problem is, who is involved, and the specifics of what is involved. When describing the problem to the consultant be sure to describe the facts (your thoughts, feelings, and actions and what was said or done by others). Do not judge or comment on what you did or plan to do.

b. Describe the factors or situations that led up to the problem, and why you think the problem persists.

c. Describe how you could solve the problem. Describe things you could do and any difficulties you think might arise if you try to implement your solution.

d. Describe how solving the problem might affect you and the other(s) involved.
