‘Because questionnaire design is a craft, it is useless to follow a rigid set of guidelines. Rather the process should be left entirely to the creativity and ingenuity of the researcher’. And ‘Asking classification questions at the start of a questionnaire only upsets the sensibilities of older respondents; young respondents are not concerned about where these questions are asked’.
