Then, as a group, examine those conversations while considering the concept of ethnocentrism. How have teams started to consider themselves exceptional or superior? Did you find yourself thinking of your team’s background as “normal” and others’ as “different”? Did your team make any assumptions about how other teams would behave or perform based on their self-described identity? How does this apply to bias in healthcare and in society at large?
