In a group of three, take turns talking to each other for about two minutes about some topic on which you can take a stand (abortion, parking, a recent movie). When the first person talks the other people should be completely supportive and attentive. When the second person talks the others should ignore that person or act completely bored. When the third person talks, the other two should strongly disagree with whatever position that person takes. Use your experiences to discuss cultural norms as well as the notions of interdependence and context in communication.
