Analyze it using the narrative framework discussed in Chapter 3, answering questions such as: who are the main characters (what identities are important for them), what problems do they face, how do they react to those problems, and what are the results? What sorts of things are being taught explicitly and implicitly in your example of popular culture? What does your example say about relationships? What is presented as good or bad?
