Suppose Uncle George sent you a check for $500 tomorrow because he is proud of your excellent grades and feels that you are a credit to the family. What would you do with the largest part of the money? Would you spend it, would you save it, or would you pay down your credit card debt (technically a form of saving)? Why? If Uncle George said that he would send you $500 every month while you are in college, would you allocate the funds among spending, saving, and debt reduction any differently? Why or why not?
