Lift shaft openings at each floor were left out in an eight-storey building. Lift people were busy installing the lift in it. At closing hours of day shift (about 8.30 p.m.), lift workers forgot to put the barriers at the shaft location of fifth floor. During the night, a worker who had joined just two days back fell from this opening and lost his life.
