If the project you are studying is a current project, review the factors of success and failure described in this chapter and, based upon your evaluation of their presence and strength in the project, estimate the project’s chance of success or failure. What other unique factors are influencing the project? In your evaluation, you might want to involve the project manager and team members and include their opinions.

Use a force field analysis to determine which factors or forces (restraining or facilitating) might be altered to improve project performance. Discuss your findings with the project manager.
