In systems the real work of leadership is to:

a. See that work gets done appropriately and effectively.

b. Help focus workers on the relationship between the work and its outcomes.

c. Refocus the elements and processes of work and place it in its larger organizational or systematic context.

d. Strengthen the functional and process-based focus of work and emphasizing structure and function in an effort to meet work needs.
