Then draw the electric field vectors that are at different positions but the same distance from the charged point object. Make sure the vectors on your drawing have correct relative lengths and direction. Draw enough vectors to represent the map.

3. Repeat step 2 for positions that are twice as far from the charged point object.

4. Repeat this process for each of the two other hypotheses for the electric field confined to a resistive sheet, the electric field does not depend on its distance from the object and the electric field depends on one over the distance from the object.
