Conduct related work on how to apply design of experiments based approach data on the selected data sets. The data set you select might be either from the literature, or from the actual data set you obtained (i.e. you might conduct the experiments by yourself and obtain the data accordingly). Using the data set that you obtained, your objective would be the finding relations between the input variables and output variables, and interpret on these findings on how the process in consideration might be improved. Couple of questions that need to be addressed in that regard can be stated as follows;

1. How many factors does the design have? Are the levels of these factors fixed or random?

2. Are control conditions needed, and what should they be?

3. What are the background variables? What are noise factors?

4. What is the sample size? How many units must be collected for the experiment to be generalized and have enough power?

5. What is the relevance of interactions between factors?

6. How many of each controls and noise factors should be taken into account?
