I think that HRM will allow them to expand their networks on several levels. They can use technology to screen their employees and see what kind of life they are living. With technology they are able to interact with colleagues around the country and discuss the latest innovations and learn about the mistakes they may have made and not try to repeat them. As social media becomes more defined in the business world, their increasingly will be a significant opportunity to leverage this powerful medium in many aspects of the business. By using social media HRM can expand their networks and increase access.

Some of the legal implications of these technologies includes potential liability due to breach of the organization's security as the result of an attack originating through the use of social media, potential legal risk associated with social engineering and spoofing attacks against users, and legal consequences of leakage of third party confidential information as a result of social media use.

Being that I work for the military (federal government) we have to be careful about social media information. You many think that it is your company on the site and it is someone that is trying to steal their information and gain more information about the company. The direct risk to an organization allowing its employees to use social media infects a company computers is obvious: if malware from social media infects a company computer and steals personal information the company may have to provide notice of security breach and could face lawsuits.

HRM have moved up greatly from when I first had my first job. Because back then I didn't have all the technology that I have today to look for jobs. Now there are so many sites that you can follow such as linkedin, FaceBook, career builder, twitter etc. Companies can now choose to follow you on these sites and look at your resume that you may have posted and call you in for an interview without you even applying for jobs. I think that is great way to hire and get an interview as well. I've had several calls just by them going on LinkedIn and finding my information and emailing me for a job. Technology is changing however we still have to be careful because there are so many hackers that are waiting to steal your and the company information.
