As an "older" millennial myself, I very much see the value of learning about how this wide-ranging generation has influenced what training and other human resources approaches look like today. Now that we are in an era where you are seeing millenial leaders training and developing the younger Links to an external site.millennials, and with the growth of Gen. Z in the workplace, it's important to understand how employee needs and training has evolved over the different generations of employees.

Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to learn about training the Millennial and Gen. Z generations on effective communication.

• Skills: As a result of completing this assignment, you will analyze the training of the Millennial generation. You will practice written communication.
• Knowledge: Students will gain knowledge of training issues in the hospitality industry.

Task: In order to complete assignment, first complete some initial research into the Millenial and Gen. Z workforce. This time, rather than seek out written articles and research, let's change it up! Look for non-text-based resources. So, online videos (YouTube, Vimeo, TedX, etc.), Podcasts, documentaries, etc. Locate a minimum of one resource for each generation (total of at least 2 resources combined):

1. Write a brief summary (in your own words) of each of the sources you found with key points/takeaways of the similarities and differences between the two generations.
2. Why should managers and supervisors be trained on effectively communicating with the Millennial and Gen. Z generations?
3. What should be covered in training of Millennials and Gen. Z in the hospitality industry?
