1) A television network is filming a TV public service commercial on the UW campus about the benefits of wearing masks to prevent the spread of respiratory illness. They have hired you to manage this project knowing that you are knowledgeable at managing new product development projects. As indicated in the table below, there are five tasks that have been identified using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS); these tasks identify the work content of this project. With respect to direct resource costs, it is least costly to perform each task at its normal duration. However, each task (except for task E) can be compressed by adding more workers to the task; this will reduce the task duration but increase direct resource costs. In this project, you can assume that the marginal compression costs (per day) as given in the table below are constant. Indirect/overhead costs have been estimated at $90 per day. The executives at the TV network want to schedule this project so that the sum of the indirect/overhead costs and direct resource costs are minimized. Formulate the problem of finding the minimum cost schedule as a linear programming problem and solve. (You can use either a \"Mark model\" or a \"Gary model\".). : Marginal Immediate Normal . g Task : Crash Time compression Predecessor Time cost (per day) 7 4 $30 9 6 $40 A B C $60 D E
