1. At least 1 server (service) running on a Windows platform, 2. At least 1 server (service) running on a Linux platform, 3. At least 1 desktop computer, running on either Windows or Linux platform, with applications (at least): OpenOffice or LibreOffice and (you will have to find out and decide), 2 types of browsers, a sound editing application, and a photo editing application. 4. The minimum services required are: DNS, AD, and web. The suggested approach is to run DNS and AD on a Windows platform and the web on a Linux platform. You are strongly encouraged to run more services. 5. At least a host-based security measure, for example, virus scanning, host-based firewall, host log analysis, intrusion detection, or file integrity checking etc. You are encouraged to have more. 6. All hosts must be able to communicate with each other via their IP addresses, hostnames, and FQDNs (fully qualified domain names)
