1- Equate the exponents in both numbers; reduce the exp of the 2nd number: [10111000].25
2- Add the two numbers (the binary numbers); and use the modified exponent (5).
(2) For the 8 bit binary adder provide a design with 2 adders, each is a 4-bit adder. For the 4-bit adder use a carry-lookahead adder design; and use a ripple carry from the first adder into the next adder.
