A PEACEFUL SUICIDE I saw your pretty gun and begged you to shoot me right between the eyes. I was sick of wandering, no place to go. Sick of the addiction, sick of not having a face. I told you I had $5,000, loot from a fresh score. Said it'd be all yours if you'd just fire a bouquet of roses through my forehead, spray the cement wall. You agreed and we went to the spot. You pointed the barrel and paused then started pistol-whipping me as I fell to the ground. "I knew you didn't have it," you said, pulling out a lousy twenty from my pockets. "Besides, you're not worth the bullet." This memory haunts me some mornings, before and hugs. A part of me still ashamed, A part of me still wishing you pulled the trigger. my coffee
