1 - Leading new trainee staff Little Catalysts ELC has been on a recruiting drive and has six new staff coming on board in the coming week. The organisation is seeing this as an opportunity to remind all staff about the National Quality Framework (NQF), the National Quality Standards (NQS) and how this relates to the work they do every day in the service. Carol (Director) has a long-term goal to ensure that the service achieves an excellent rating. There's also a whisper in the wind that a rating and assessment visit may not be too far away. Little Catalysts ELC wants all staff to be confident in understanding how they contribute to best practice and align to the NQS, if ever they were asked. There will be an all staff meeting next week, following which, Carol has asked you to take the new trainees and spend 10 minutes with them explaining aspects of the NQF, NQS and laws and regulations, how they inter-relate, as well as the assessment and rating process. She has asked that you prepare some notes with what you intend to say to check that all the essentials are covered and key points made
