1. Moving a file to a different directory on the same disk does not require making a new copy of the data in the file. Explain why not. What does happen when a file is moved from one directory to another on the same disk?

2. Explain in detail what is meant by the working set of a process. (Use the textbook! What's on the Microsoft web page is wrong, and will get you a zero on this part of the assignment.)

3. The process dispatcher of an operating system keeps running, ready and waiting queues. Describe what happens with respect to those queues when a running program requests an I-O operation from the operating system, and when the I-O operation completes.

4. Identify four things that you either did not know before taking this class or that you learned something new about as a result of taking the class. (I just want a list of four things, not a book.)

5. Pick one of the four things that you listed in Part 8 and, in two or three paragraphs, tell how the coverage of that subject could be improved.

6. Tell at least one thing, more if possible, that you expected to get out of this course, but did not. (Please note: I'm asking for help to improve the course. A list of things that were missing is much more useful to me than a statement that the course was perfect in every way.)
