(1). Parts arrive at the facility in Receiving/QA (Quality Assurance) (2). Parts are then inspected and assigned to a random warehouse location by the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (3). If required and possible, some of the arriving parts that fail quality standards are fixed in Machine shop. (4) If a part is already in inventory, the newly received part is assigned to the existing location. At times, the existing location is full, so the warehouse worker goes back to the ERP system to assign it a different location. (5) When a project is scheduled to be manufactured, the ERP system generates a pick list that the warehouse worker prints out (6) The worker then takes the print out into the warehouse and picks the parts and takes them to the required work center. Up to 5 workers at a time.

Draw a Process Flow Diagram (not a Swim Lane Flowchart).

A good approach would be to go through each bullet point description and to think about how to represent it in the diagram.

The entire description should be captured using a single diagram. It is not very useful if you provide multiple separate flow diagrams capturing different parts of the process.

An additional check that you could apply is to see whether your diagram has used all the different shapes that can be used in a flow diagram.
