1. Pose a significant problem whose solution would require the organization and analysis of a large amount of data. (U4A 1) 2. Select and apply the tools of the course to design and carry out a study of the problem (U4A 2/ 4A 3) This component should include many, if not all of the following criteria: Locate, organize and summarize large amounts of data. Use the Internet or other sources to locate data. Create databases and or spreadsheets that organize and facilitate the manipulation and retrieval of large amounts of data. Represent data using diagrams, flowcharts, decision tables. Compute, using technology, measures of one variable statistics, two variable statistics and make statements about data within the set. Compare data to common distributions. 3. Present these findings in a : a) Compile a clear, well-organized, and fully justified report of the investigation and its findings. The report is limited to a maximum of 8 pages. (U4A4)
