One thing from the video that I already knew was the ability of neurologists to look inside the human brain, by taking a "snapshot" or image of the brain using magnetic resonance imaging, also known as an MRI.

One thing that I learned from the video is that human brain development is not done in early childhood. The brain continues to develop throughout adolescence and into the 20s and 30s.

One thing that I discovered in this video that surprised me was the abilities of the prefrontal cortex area of the brain. Sarah-Jayne Blakemore discussed that the prefrontal cortex area of the brain was responsible for cognitive functions, such as decision-making, planning, preventing inappropriate behavior, comprehending other people, and self-awareness.
