1) Sam works for Wise Plumbing as a full-time plumber. While working as a plumber for Ms. White, Sam breaks a major water valve and it damages the White house. Mr. White sees Sam at the Ralph's grocery store on Sunday, and yells at Sam, who then hits Mr. White with his wrench. Tell me (1) if Wise Plumbing is liable for the White house damage and why, and (2) if Wise Plumbing will be liable for Mr. White's injuries. Make sure to tell me why on each.

2) Sam sold Tom a redwood tree for $10,000 and agreed to plant it in his yard based on the drawing Tom gave him. Sam misread the drawing and placed the tree 3 feet south of the place on the drawing. There is nothing different about the location except it is 3 feet closer to the property line which is still aways off. Tom asked you if he should pay Sam, and asked you to explain your advice. What should you tell him?
