REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Basketball Court Installation 1. Summary of needs and request for action (introductionlbackground} This is a public Community Center for all Flagstaff residents that is dedicated to providing recreational opportunities for all age groups and demographics coming summer 2024. Our Community Center is seeking proposals from qualied and licensed contractors to layout the court. design it, and construct the court itself which includes the installation of the basketball surface and the goals. The work to be performed as part of this proposal is contained in the Statement of work. 2. Statement of work Our Community Center is requesting proposals that include the following: the installation of the court itself, the basketball court surface, the painting of those courtsI the basketball goals including their nets, and the installation of 2 benches, one on each sideline of the court. Each contractor submitting a proposal shall include the total cost for installation for the tasks of the deliverables outlined below. The contractor will perform the following deliverables and their tasks: 1. Layout the site: The contractor accepted will need to visit the site in person prior to submitting their proposal and make observations and judgements related to the construction of the project. Any concerns should be vocalized before the proposal closes. 2. Design: Once a contractor has been selected, a design must be completed based upon the parameters decided on. This contractor is responsible for meeting with the city to nalize the design and layout for approval. 3. Construction: The chosen contractor will need to follow the detailed construction schedule so that the court is ready for use by June 2024. 3. Deliverable specicationsfrequirements, features. and tasks Layout: The Dimensions of the court should be 100 ft. long by 56 ft. wide. The painted part of the court should be 90 ft. by 46 ft. Design: The natural asphalt color of the basketball court can be kept. All ofthe lines, including the 3 point arch, free throw line, center line, center circle lines. and out of bounds lines are to be painted white. Construction: Install the Asphalt base and top course using a laser guided payer. The basketball goals should be made of galvanized steel with aluminum backboards with continuous reinforcement ribs. The benches should also be made of steel. The court shall be accessible to the handicapped in accordance with State and Federal |aws.The selected contractor shall provide all insurance necessary for the installation of this project
