It is assumed that the steam flow entering the turbine will be 6kg/kWh(6kg/h for 1kW). Steam enters this nozzle at 14bar (absolute) and 300C and exits at 5kPa pressure. By neglecting the steam velocity at the nozzle inlet; a. If the expansion in the entire nozzle there is isentropic expansion, find the steam mass flow rate through the throat, the number of nozzles to be used and the actual steam flow rate corrected according to the number of nozzles. b. If there is an isentropic expansion between the inlet and throat in the nozzle and 10% loss between the throat and outlet, find the nozzle outlet diameter, steam outlet conditions (C, x) and nozzle efficiency. Show the expansion in the nozzle on the Mollier diagram
