Mr. Wong brought his daughter, Jade, to the clinic today. Jade was last seen last month for a well-child check. Apparently while Jade was out in the backyard helping her father plant spring flowers in the garden, she stuck the stem of a dandelion flower up her nose, and the bud become lodged in her nasal cavity. Dr. Hayler was on call today and attended to the encounter. Dr. Hayler spent 35 minutes soothing her before he was able to look up her nose. Using blunt-tipped forceps, her removed the stuck flow bud. Jade and her father were relieved and left with the flower bud in a specimen jar. Total time spent was 45 minutes.
