1. Your job is to investigate the type of writing that someone in your planned field (Nursing) of study does on a daily basis. You should first mention what the field is, and what drew you to it. Then, discuss what kind of writing you believe someone in this field might do without researching it.

 

2. Then take a small writing break and do some research online. Look up the job field or profession and what kind of writing is actually required and give some details on what that writing looks like. What genre does it fit into? Is it creative, technical, business, etc., and what purpose does the writing seek to accomplish? Then, tell me if the kind of writing you will be required to do in this field is what you expected or not?

 

3. Briefly explain the importance of knowing how to write effectively for your future career (or major). Spend some time and think about the details and the significance of this specific writing and describe why effective, clear, and error-free writing will serve you well in your future career.
