1/17/2024 Human Nature - Reading 1 Suppose you woke up one morning and all your needs were met, whatever food you wished to eat, was immediately provided for you, you could take long warm baths whenever you wished, chose the choicest partner and do your bit to provide for the continuation of humanity. Within a week, would you not be totally bored? And then would people begin to rise up and seek to destroy such a satisfying life out of a sheer desire to find a challenge in their lives? Are we not condemned to be perpetually dissatisfied in order that we meet our more basic desire to have ever possible future challenges in our lives?
