2:An SLO (Significant Life Event) that often occurs during the tween years is realizing that our parent(s) are not perfect. There is an episode of FRASIER when his son, Frederick, learns his dad cannot play baseball, at all. Frasier discusses being worried with his father, Marty, that his son is going to realize he is not perfect which leads to Marty asking Frasier when he found out that Marty was not perfect. Frasier recounts a time when Marty had Frasier and his friends at a restaurant and Marty could not calculate the tip mentally.

Parents arepeople.People who've experienced their own traumas, insecurities, and setbacks in life and do the best they can with whatever tools they have in the moment.But for some reason, when childrenof any agecome to realize this fact, it's rare for peaceful acceptance to be the immediate course of action.

3: The producers of the Life Series had hoped to take it through to 19 but even making it to Life at 9 was difficult. Jara'na dropped out due to his oppositional and unwillingness to participate, Lou Lou's mum, Louise, was uncomfortable with the amount of private material and often negative circumstances and Haleema's mum remarried after Life at 7 and it is unknown if it was a request from her new husband or that they moved that led to them not participating in Life at 9.
