2. Anthem PPO currently pays St. Elizabeth for inpatient behavioral health cases using a case-rate methodology; as such, regardless of how resource-intensive, labor-intensive, or long a patients stay is, St. Elizabeth is reimbursed a flat $6,000 rate for the stay. St. Elizabeth would like to propose a revenue-neutral per-diem rate to be paid as a flat amount for each day of the patients stay.
