3. (20 points) At Short Beach Airport, all passengers must go through two security check points before arriving at the gate. A typical passenger's experience is as follows: Security Check point 1 A passenger presents her ID and boarding pass to a TSA officer. The TSA officer checks the ID and puts a stamp on the boarding pass. It takes 30 seconds for a TSA officer to process one passenger. There are three TSA officers at Security Check Point 1. Security Check point 2 Then each passenger has to go through the automated X-ray machine.1 It takes 2 minutes to scan one passenger. There are four X-ray scanners at Security Check point 2. All the four X-ray scanners at Security Check Point 2 are getting old and our technician says each scanner requires frequent calibrations now to comply with the TSA standards. In fact, the technician has to calibrate and adjust each scanner every 5 passengers. This additional calibration task takes 10 minutes. That is, after an X-ray scanner processes 5 passengers, you cannot use the X-ray scanner for 10 minutes. Once this 10-minute calibration is complete, the scanner can then process the next 5 passengers. (followed by a 10-minute calibration time...etc.) e) (4 points) What is the capacity of the X-ray scanners now?
