At steady operating conditions the temperature of the plate's outer surface is measured to as 112C. Upper side of the resistance is well insulated therefore by disregarding any heat loss through the upper part of the iron, (a) express the differential equation and the boundary conditions for steady one-dimensional heat conduction through the plate, (b) obtain a relationship for the variation of temperature in the base plate, and (c) evaluate the inner surface temperature
