While at the job site, he stayed in a boarding house. P anticipates that the job will last for eight months. During the year, he traveled 4,000 miles in going to and from the job. Other expenses while away from home included the following: meals, $1,000; lodging, $900; and laundry, $75. b. Same as (a), except P anticipates the job to last for more than a year. c. W plays professional football for the Minnesota Vikings. He has an apartment in St. Paul, but he and his wife's permanent personal residence is in Tucson. During the season, W usually stays in St. Paul. In the off-season he returns to Tucson. Expenses for the year include travel between St. Paul and Tucson, $2,000; apartment in St. Paul, $1,800; and meals while in St. Paul, $900. d. R took a trip to New York primarily for business.
