The two-cylinder, pressure parameter sequence circuit shown in the schematic above is designed to order both phases of the cylinders' operations.  The primary cylinder (Cyl 1) should extend first, followed by extension of the secondary cylinder (Cyl 2).  When the directional control valve (not shown) shifts to the retract phase, The secondary cylinder (Cyl 2) should retract first followed by the retraction of the primary cylinder (Cyl 1).

Cyl 1 has a 6 in diameter piston and a 2 in diameter rod.  Cyl 1 must overcome initial loads of 8,000 lb on extension and 2,000 lb on retraction.

Cyl 2 has a 5 in diameter piston and a 2 in diameter rod.  Cyl 2 must overcome initial loads of 800 lb on extension and 4,000 lb on retraction.
