4.On December 1, Simon signed a rental contract with Classic Cars Ltd so that he would have the use a Porsche car on December 10.

But on December 9 Classic Cars Ltd told Simon that they could not provide him with the car. Simon then told them that he had to have the car in order to use it in a movie he was filming the next day December 10, and that he would lose $50,000 if they did not provide the Porsche car as agreed in the contract.

Advise Simon on his chances of getting $50,000 in damages from Classic Cars Ltd. In particular he wants to know whether or not his potential loss is remote. Is it? Why/Why not?

5.Molly, who lives in Halifax, knew when she got out of bed on December 10 that she had all the symptoms of Covid 19 - a fever, cough, sore throat, headache, shortness of breath, and a runny nose. She also knew she had an important business dinner that evening. Molly decided she could not miss it, so she attended it.

A few days later everyone at the dinner tested positive for Covid 19, including Molly. They remembered Molly sweating, coughing, having trouble breathing, and wiping her nose throughout dinner. The NS Department of Health's contact tracers identified Molly as the source of the outbreak.

Molly's dinner companions believe they can sue Molly for being negligent. The one thing they are certain of is whether Molly breached the standard of care. Did she breach the standard of care? Why?/Why not?
