a clinical trial examined the effectiveness of tylanol. patients were randomly put into groups. a treatment group and acontrol group. neither the patients nor the doctors knew which patients received the tylanol and which received the placebo. After a few months the physician evaluated each patient's progress as either favorable or unfavorable. Of the 78 patients in the tylanol group 63 of them had favorable outcomes; 43 of the 77 control patients had favorable outcomes.
