A combined gas-steam power plant has a net power output of 500 MW. The pressure ratio of the gas-turbine cycle is 15: 1. Air enters the compressor at 1 bar & 300 K, while leaves the combustion chamber at 1450K. The combustion gases leaving the gas turbine are used to heat the steam at 8 MPa. to 500\\deg C in a heat exchanger. The combustion gases leave the heat exchanger at 450K. If the fuel used in the combustion chamber is octane CHis which is supplied at 25\\deg C and burned completely with 20% excess air. An open feedwater heater incorporated with the steam cycle operates at a pressure of 0.8 MPa. If the condenser pressure is 20 kPa. and all the compression & expansion processes are isentropic, sketch the combined cycle and the corresponding T-s diagram, then determine:(a) the mass flow rate ratio of air to steam,(b) the required rate of heat input in the combustion chamber,(c) fuel-air ratio,(d) combustion gases specific heat, C, and dew point temperature,
