A. Jaydev never violates social norms and follows ethical behaviors. During a competitive written examination, he observed that all the candidates in the examination hall were using unethical means by opening and referring to the notes and books. The vigilance officer in the examination hall was keeping his eyes closed to those unfair activities.
Jaydev needed the job badly. However, he feared that other candidates would get higher marks than him for such unethical acts. So he also took out all his notes from the bag, which he kept on the front table of the hall, and started writing his answers in a similar unfair way as most other candidates were doing
After coming back home from the examination center, Jaydev narrated the whole episode of the examination hall situation to his father and what he did in the situation. His father consoled him " Don't feel guilty about what you did. You have done anything wrong. You followed the same practice that all the other candidates are doing., else you would have been a victim of the situation”
