A new pipeline system is designed to carry non-sour natural gas from a compressor station 1 to three distribution tie-ins in a power plant fuel station. The pipeline route is given in the following figure. Calculate the maximum design pressure that the compressor can allowed to produce based on the following information: [20 %]

Pipe outside diameter 6" (168.3 mm)

6" grade: Gr. 448 (SMYS = 448 MPa)

Purchased wall thickness: 15.41 mm

Pipe outside diameter 8" (219.1 mm)

8" grade: Gr. 448 (SMYS = 448 MPa)

Purchased wall thickness: 12.7 mm

Pipe outside diameter 10" (273.1 mm)

10" grade: Gr. 359 (SMYS = 359 MPa)

Purchased wall thickness: 10.31 mm

Corrosion allowance for all pipes : 1.60 mm

Mill tolerance for all pipes: 1.29 mm

Design temperature: -10C to 38C

Type of pipe: seamless

Design Factor: 0.8
