A primary school in Suva, Fiji, wants to have a system developed that solves all their problems. The management is considering the popularization of technology and is convinced that a newly made system is what they need. The school is situated in an urban setting with excellent internet coverage. There are 3 classes at each level with each class having its own class teacher. Example, Year 1A taught by Ms. Tina, Year 1B taught by Mr. Brown, etc. Levels are from Year 1 to Year 8. This means altogether there are 8 x 3 = 24 classrooms and class teachers. Each class is allowed up to 50 students. Other staff of the school include the school Head Teacher, school secretary, manager, school gardener and 5 school cleaners. The stakeholders want the following from the new system: Teachers want to record daily attendance in the system. Parents of students want to view their child's attendance in real time, or at least on the same day. Weekly/daily lesson coverage for each class should be visible to relevant users. Teachers want to have a portal/page/platform for uploading resources that they can use with their class during lessons. Assessment marks should be recorded and visible to relevant users. School finances should be recorded and relevant financial reports to be generated monthly, quarterly and annually. School staff details should be recorded and relevant reports should be generated, example teaching history, etc. The school and class teachers want to be able to send newsletters to parents through the system. Each student's history should be available to relevant users (each Year attended, class teacher, parents details, subjects and topics, assessment results, etc) The management wants to have a service available so that in case if face-to-face classes are not allowed for any reason (like Covid19), then students can continue classes virtually through this system. Users want to have this system accessible via their smart phones as well as desktop PCs
