A quick process to complete your assignment(s);

1. Read the chapter(s) of the book and perform the exercises throughout the sections. Compile and run the given examples in the textbook and make notes. Ask in the forum, any questions that may arise from your reading.

2. Review any lecture material for the chapter and make notes solidifying your reading of the chapter.

3. Look to see if I have posted a "helper file" for a homework assignment. Try to perform the exercise and then consult the provided solution if you have any issues completing the task Disclaimer: The purpose of the helper file IS NOT to show how you to complete this assignment. It provides a solution to "a problem" and not "the problem"

4. Open the assignment requirement file (this file) and perform the stated operations. Pay close attention to details and make sure to follow the file submission requirements stated in the text of the assignment. Helper File: See the helper file(s) located under the assignment link where you picked up this assignment file for a sample question and answer. Objective: Demonstrate your understanding of solving problems that involve input. processing, and output. Assignment: Answer select questions based on concepts covered in chapter 3 and earlier chapters of your textbook. Assignment also requires a code written in Raptor. Deliverable: The Document file (.DOCX) with your pseudocode and one Raptor code file (rap). Submit file(s) through the Canvas Assignment dropbox. Process: Open MS Word and type your pseudocode for problem

1. Name your file using the format: firstName LastNameis115_hw3.DOCX

1. Write a pseudocode for the following problem. We like to calculate and display the amount of time it takes in seconds, minutes, and hours to download a movie.

Ask the user IS115 - Assignment 3 - Chapter 3 Page 1 for the size of the movie in Giga Bytes (GB) and the download speed in Mega bits per second (Mbps). The time to download in seconds will be calculated approximately by the formula: movie size 8 1000 / download speed. The time in minutes is calculated by dividing the time in seconds by 60. The time in hours is calculated by dividing the time in seconds by 3600. We like to be able to ask the user for the required information, calculate, and display the desired results. Choose descriptive variable names. Test case 1: Movie size: 3.8GB Download speed: 20Mbps Time in seconds: 304 Time in minutes: 5.06 Time in hours: 0.084 Test case 2: Movie size: 12.5GB Download speed: 20Mbps Time in seconds: 5000 Time in minutes: 83.33 Time in hours: 1.38

2. Write the Raptor code for the following problem. Note that the problem has several parts, so just write the code based on the following steps. Don't create a different Raptor file for each task. Name your file using the format: firstNameLastNameis115 hw3.rap.

a. Ask the user for the name of an airport.

b. If you know the acceleration

(a) and take-off speed (v) of an airplane, you can compute the minimum runway length needed for an airplane to take off using the following formula: length v2 / 2a Ask the user for the speed and the acceleration and calculate the length. For example, if the speed is 60 and acceleration is 3.5, the minimum runway length would be 514.286. Don't worry about formatting the output with a certain number of digits after the decimal point.

c. Ask the user for the size of a movie in GB.

d. Ask the user for the download speed in Mbps

e. Calculate and display the download speed in seconds.

f. Calculate and display the download speed in minutes.

g. Calculate and display the download speed in hours Make sure to display all data (both what is input to the program and what the program calculates). Clearly explain the output. Don't just display a value. For example, instead of displaying 800 for a given monetary value, display something like: value - 5800. Or. 74.08 degrees instead of 74.08. Submit your raptor file. 15115 - Assignment 3
