A radioisotope of a chemical element is an unstable atom that contains an unusual number of neutrons or protons. Radioisotopes can be natural or artificially created by bombarding particular elements with neutrons. Radioisotopes having an unstable nucleus attempt to reach stability by throwing off nucleons (protons or neutrons). They may also emit other particles (alpha or beta) or by releasing energy such as gamma rays, x-rays until stability is reached. This process is called radioactive decay. The faster a radioactive isotope decays, the more radioactive it is. A radioactive isotope cannot be disposed of before it reaches its safe level of activity. If it is prematurely disposed of, it will cause environmental pollution, air and water pollution and can represent a serious health hazard. Before disposal, a radioactive isotope must be stored in ceramic-type containers. Eventually, a radioisotope decays to its safe activity level at which time it can be safely disposed of into the environment. You will write a Python application that will compute the total decay time, safe level of activity of a radioisotope in a material containing a percentage of a given radioactive isotope The user selects one radioactive isotope (either phosphorous or chromium), and enters the initial radioactive activity detected in the material, the mass of the material containing the radioactive isotope and the percentage of the radioactive isotope in that material. The application will compute the decay time necessary to reach the radioisotope's safe activity level. Also, your Python application will allow the user to trace the decay activity of the radioisotope day by day until is under the safe level of activity The input screen should be informative and easy to use. It does not need to give the user any information regarding radioactive masses or activities. Give helpful messages if the user forgets to enter something or enters something that causes an exception. Be creative. Your output should be friendly, properly labeled and formatted and readable.
