A "right-to-work" law refers to a state law that:

1. means that employees may quite their jobs and/or be terminated for any reason or no reason at all.
2. Makes unions or union-organizing illegal.
3. Makes it illegal for unions to require employees who are part of a bargaining unit from becoming union members and/or paying union dues.
4. Prohibits employees from going out on strike.
5. Prohibits teachers from organizing.
