A trading company wants to standardize its customer order process in order to reduce the number of complaints and increase response times. The process starts when a customer order is received. Subsequently, a review of product availability is carried out: if the products are in stock, then the request is sent to the warehouse for the order to be prepared; otherwise, the customer is informed and asked if he/she wishes to place items in backorder. In the case of orders sent for backordering, another process, called backordering, is initiated. In the case where the customer has been contacted to know if he/she wishes to place items in backorder, when the customer does not decide to do so, the order is cancelled; if the customer agrees to place items in backorder, the order is modified, placing items in backorder and sending the others to warehouse dispatch to be prepared and initiating the process called warehouse dispatch. a.
