A web$-$cache server is a proxy server for an origin webserver. When a request is made for a webpage, it is first sent to the web$-$cache server and, if the requested page is not found, the web$-$cache server opens a TCP connection to the original server to get the page. A web cache server is placed in the network as shown below. The user makes one requests per second for a file of size $50$ megabits using a persistent connection.
