According to the annual report on crime published by the FBI, the US experienced the biggest rise in murder in 2020 since the start of such record-keeping in 1960!

Analysis have assessed a few factors that may have contributed to this increase, including pandemic stress, increased distress between the police and the public, and increased firearm carrying. Out of the three variables listed, which one do you think lends to a higher conditional probability of murder and why?
