What Review an administrative report and provide an analysis in a

properly formatted memo.

Why You will be exposed to a wide variety of managerial and

administrative reports throughout your career in healthcare.

It is important to know how to read and analyze key

components of such reports.

The more you read and analyze reports, the easier it

becomes to create meaningful reports and to analyze

existing reports. Numbers tell a story its your job to interpret

them in order to recommend action.

Format Memo (one page) as noted below.

Submit a properly formatted memo (one-page, of course) to me with your analysis of the attached financial statements. This analysis should begin with I have reviewed xxxxs xx for the period ending xx/xx/xx & xx at xx/xx/xx. The results of this review do/do not (choose one) support accepting a position with this HCO. The rationale follows and includes five (5) follow-up questions to further explore before accepting a position.

Describe how you arrived at your conclusion with reference to supporting analyses. Include a grid similar to that on our texts page 128 with the ratios noted below. Include five (5) additional questions to explore. Explain the purpose of exploring these questions. The narrative is as important as the numerical results. Numbers tell a story it is your job to tell the story of those numbers.
