Affirmative Action is a difficult topic for discussion.It has always been problematic to discuss with a diverse class because of the unequal numbers of whites to people of color.I have often complaints that such a discussion puts minority students on the spot where the power dynamics of a classroom are unequal.The discussion of Affirmative Action has been made even more uncomfortable given the social unrest of the past year.This a topic that is worth covering in a class on ethics and justice even though it can be very disconcerting and difficult?
